There are parts of six of Lexington’s Historic Districts in the 3rd District. These areas are true treasures and have saved many of our neighborhoods. I applaud the dedicated people that have contributed their time, talent and resources toward these efforts.

I will work for adequate resources and staff for the office of Historic Preservation to enhance its partnership with property owners, educate the public about its role, and to do the job it is charged with.

I will work to ensure the continued updating of the Historic Preservation guidelines. This will make the upkeep and restoration of our historic buildings sustainable while keeping the integrity of the architecture.
